This is my final project thesis - Its a training video that caters to intermediate film students about the RED One camera - Myself and my mate were inspired to do this video because back in 2009 we found it was very difficult to get a thorough insight of this camera. Which discourage us as film students and to some the sense of mystery made the camera seem a bit intimidating - So we set out to do a free training video on the camera a bit soft around the edges using layman's terms while focusing on the main principles. This training video is for the film student whom already have a working understanding of most of the concepts and practices surrounding digital cinematography. It caters to students who come from a background of lighting for digital camera work. Students who have worked already with cameras like the HVX200 (panasonic.com, 2010) or the Sony EX1 (Sony.com, 2010) or 3 will benefit significantly from the training video because those cameras already use the work flow that the RED camera uses. The following is a list of things students should know relatively well before using this training video, Students should: I. Know how to set up a camera securely to a tripod II.
