Episode 1: The Camera looks at the video camera we picked for our podcasting work, and talks about why we picked it. We use the Canon HV20 camera -- two of them, in fact. Why? Big sensor, 24p recording, reasonable price and a great user community all played into the decision. Plus, it mows the lawn. Yours may not come with that option. Check local listings. So what's next? Sound, tripods, Steadicams, editing, color correction, marketing, branding, motion graphics and more. I have time to do this because the camera mows my lawn for me. It also picks up if I'm messy. A Meejah "Quck tip" showing how to get that expensive camera dolly look on a zero buget by using nothing more than a standard camera tripod ( a camera dolly is a platform on wheels or a track that allows you to move a camera very smoothly). This is an excellent trick for adding a touch of movie making slickness to a scene. This film making trick is simple and easy to do, and with a little practice, anyone can master the technique.
