Short film created for final year project at Sheffield Hallam University. Re-creation of the Omaha Beach landings during D-Day WWII. Project aim was to re-create a blockbuster battle scene on a low budget by using digital visual effects. Footage was shot using only three actors on a beach in Mappleton near Hornsea, on the east coast. Then by using visual effects the actors were duplicated and sets created. Equipment Used: Sony HVR-A1E Camcorders, Canon 550d SLR Camera, Manfrotto 055XProb Tripods with 501HDV and 701HDV heads. Costumes and guns supplied by B-Authentic hire shop in Huddersfield. Software Used: Adobe After Effects CS5.5 Adobe Premiere Pro CS5.5 Adobe Audition CS5.5 Imagineer Systems Mocha AE Autodesk 3ds Max 2012 V-Ray Renderer Director & Editor - Tom Hemsall Cast: Tom Hemsall, Nick Dickson, Richard Arnott Camera Operators: Tom Hemsall, Matt Boyes, Natalie Hood
