Opteka 47" Camera Slider Test Video Clips. Duration : 1.73 Mins.
This short film 'Table Ornaments and Soft Toys' is really a test production for my Canon 550D/T2i/Kissx4 DSLR and particularly my new Opteka GLD-400 47" Camera Slider. All shots taken with Sigma 30mm F1.4 lens and I still love the shallow depth of field I am able to achieve with this lens. The music is called 'Moods' by Video CoPilot and is royality free in their Proscores Edition. Hope you like the video....and remember no soft toys were harmed during the production of this video. Please subscribe if you like.

DIY dslr camera track slider dolly Video Clips. Duration : 0.90 Mins.
Using some old tot train tracks, the 'bogies' removed from some old trains And my tripod head with a canon 550d dslr i created a simple track and dolly set up. I had to make a simple aluminium transporter baseplate using angle aluminium from a diy store (£10), to which everything was very simply attached/bolted. It's really smooth as long as the surface you set the tracks on are smooth. I'm also finding using a length of string helps smooth the flow. I have also used a cordless drill to wind the string in, creating an extremely smooth consistent 'track' shot.

Hague Igus Camera Slider Pro Camslide Video Clips. Duration : 1.65 Mins.
The PCS1000 Hague Pro Cam-Slide incorporates the latest Igus Hybrid Roller Bearings running on an Igus WS-16-60 Linear Rail. It is this combination, of roller within the sleeve, that creates easy smooth camera movements far superior to standard sleeve bearings used by other suppliers. The Pro Cam-Slide is quick and simple to set up, it can be mounted to any sturdy tripod or placed on a table, or the floor for low shots. The carriage is supplied with both 1/4" and 3/8" threaded screws to attach a video head or ball head to the carriage, or you can attach your camera directly to the carriage. Once the camera is mounted to the carriage you can create super smooth tracking shots as you slide the carriage down the rail. On the side of the carriage is a carriage lock which will hold it in a set position, or the lock can be used to add drag to the carriage if required. The rail is 1metre long and can be supported in various ways, there are 3/8" and 1/4" threaded mounting holes in the centre and at each end. The track can be mounted directly to a tripod or across two tripods. Two rail supports are also supplied, one for each end of the rail, these support the Pro Cam-Slide when it is used on a table or the floor, and they also prevent the carriage from coming off the end of the rail. The rail supports have 4 self aligning adjustable feet which are ideal when the Cam-Slide is used on uneven ground. Slider rough build. Showing gears and pinion. The slider and the tripods. Tube. Duration : 1.27 Mins.
New slider rig in production. This would have been made professionally but others are jealous of my design abilities, and wanted to keep me from getting a head. NOTE: You will always be soso and i shall excel just by tenacity alone This was built with a dewalt drill and wobbly table with stone age tools. Its still a work in progress. All the gears and pinion were painfully put together with what i had. Not to mention my garage is around 400 degrees daily. Belt will arrive this week. Leave me feedback

Unboxing and test driving the Konova slider Tube. Duration : 4.53 Mins.
The slider is delivered! I expected a big box but this was not very impressive. That's a good thing, though, because smaller means less weight and easy carrying. First impression: very solid. This thing will not bend easily so a camera like an EX1r with monitor, mics etc should be no problem. It's a simple piece of gear: screw the feet on and it's ready to go. Well, in my case I had to adjust the bearings because out of the box they were a little tight. When placing on a tripod it obviously has to be perfectly balanced. And you need to really lock down the head because it will tilt under the weight of the camera. I had a hard time locking down my Manfrotto 503 head. If it's not rock solid, you will get camera shake, particularly when you reach the end of the slider. A DSLR like the 550D on the slider with one tripod is manageable, even though it didn't feel 100% With a bigger or heavier camera, I would recommend 2 tripods or supports for best results. Especially when shooting tele. I tried placing the slider vertically but had a very hard time to go upwards smoothly. Down was easier, for obvious reasons, but you need a good monitoring device to know what you're doing. And 4 hands. I'm not sure I'll use the vertical option very much. All in all, this is a very tight little slider. It's definitely worth the money and will greatly increase your painter's palette, so to speak. You won't regret this purchase. Over at filmersblog.nl I have a few close ups of the slider and the ...
