I am really happy with it and I am hoping to start taking quite a few photos with it aswell as videography. These were just a few test shots I got before it ran out of battery becuase as always I never checked to see its power life. All colour correction was done by me in sony vegas movie studio. I used colour curves, brightness and contrast, colour balance, saturation adjust and sharpen. Finally it's done. 2nd time to do a pre-nup video with Eric Dima-Ala, ILM friends and with the super cool and funny soon to be husband and wife - Reuben & Carissa. As a complete noob, each of us contributed in the making of this project especially the couple who did the concept and script. We used different types and brand of DSLR (Canon and Nikon), P&S and underwater cameras, Flycam Nano, Tripods, mono-pad, and 450 size helicam equipped with small digital camera for the low altitude aerial shots. The filming lasted for a couple of months since all of us are working and the only free time to shoot is every weekend. Editing in Adobe Premiere, After effects, and Looks Builder took me one month due to PC speed problem and color correcting since every footage have different color setup due to different camera we used. Doing this kind of pre-nup video is really fun especially after we saw the final movie output. Lastly, To our friend Reuben and Carissa congrats to both of you! wishing you all the best in your upcoming married life! Congrats Guys! Hope you like the video. Firework display at Canterbury Park horse track and card club in Shakopee, MN. This was my first time using my 2 Sony HVR-Z5Us for fireworks. This was all trial and error learning as I went. While the cameras were on Tripods, it was quite windy, so there is some camera shaking, especially on the long zooms. I apologize for the slight out of focus of the wide view cam a couple minutess in. It was in focus when I framed the shot but it must have been bumped and I never really looked at that camera once I had it set. I guess next time I will have to keep checking up on it.

The area of Waynoka keeps calling me back after many visits. There are so many great spots to shoot from. This segment was filmed in about an hour from the back of my truck. I had both tripods and cameras in there, trying to manage them in a small area. If some of the shots seem a little "tight" it's likely because I was working the other camera. Mt. Heman reminds me of "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" a little, but it sure makes for a great backdrop. It's on the west side of the Cimarron River, and not far from Waynoka. BNSF engineers aren't as friendly as the UP guys, but some will make your day. Thanks for watching.

My favorite natural phenomenon is one I do not even know the name of, even after talking to meteorologists and astrophysicists I am none the wiser.What I am talking about I have decided to call The Arctic Light and it is a natural phenomenon occurring 2-4 weeks before you can see the Midnight Sun. The Sunset and Sunrise are connected in one magnificent show of color and light lasting from 8 to 12 hours. The sun is barely going below the horizon before coming up again. This is the most colorful light that I know, and the main reason I have been going up there for the last 4 years, at the exact same time of year, to photograph. Based on previous experience, I knew this was going to be a very difficult trip. Having lost a couple of cameras and some other equipment up there before, it was crucial to bring an extra set of everything. I also made sure I had plenty of time in case something went wrong. This is a video of me un-boxing my new Benro Travel Angel C2691TB1. It comes with the B1 ball head, which is like their 2nd most heavy duty of 4 in the B-series. It has a maximum load of 26.4 lbs & I believe me, it's strong. It is plenty for what I need it to do. My longest lens is a Canon 70-200 F4 so I'm not supporting too much weight but even if you are, this is super stable. I couldn't budge it if I tried. I compared this tripod against Manfrotto, Oben & Gitzo. I went with this one because of how compact it gets when collapsed down to just 17.7 inches & it comes with a convenient case with shoulder strap. Personally, for myself, I don't see needing anything else. It can hold the weight, it's sturdy, compact, light-weight, & does everything I need it to do & that's holding a camera steady. The ball head has 3 separate controls for pan, tension, & tilt & yes it even has a scale for doing panoramas. My suggestion for anyone getting their 1st good tripod, get something small like this that you can take anywhere. The reason is...that some day, you're going to go on a trip or hiking off the trail, & you're going to wish that you had one of these babies. Update: I purchased from DigitalRev for 0.00, however, I just checked the price & it went up to 0.00 which is still an incredible deal. I ordered mine on 01/28 & received 02/06. HDR Time-lapse @ TheVoder.com DC is one of the most difficult places to shoot. No tripods, no fancy equipment, only a single camera. After planning my shots and figuring out what time would be best to shoot, I went out and started this HDR Time-lapse production. During the course of the shoot I was stopped 9 times by NPS (national parks service) and three times by DC Metro police. Apparently there was a target on me... It does look suspicious though when a guy is toting around a giant blue time-lapse slider, 3 tripods and a battery. Because of the numerous roadblocks I wasn't able to use my Dynamic Perception time-lapse slider as much as I had intended, but the shots that I did get were pretty impactful (In my opinion). This is my first project conceptualized completely in HDR. During the course of the shoot I was able to refine my HDR process and eliminate almost 30 hours of processing time by switching some settings around on both my camera and in certain programs. HDR is one of the most fun things to shoot and this production really opened my eyes to what it's capable of. It doesn't need to be all "Harry Potterish" but a simple and subtle blend of imagery will do the trick. This project is only the first in a long line of ideas I have brewing up in my head. Here I will show you a variety of tripod modifications you can do to most likely increase you tripods functionality, performance and ease of use. This includes adding a rubber grip to your mounting plate, attaching a removable handle, adding an additional level, installing a rotational handle for steadicam use, and showing you a way to add on an adjustable weight system. The total cost to do all of these should be around or so. If I missed anything in my video, please feel free to ask any questions you may have and I will do my best to answer them. It was a beautiful autumn day in Dallas County, Texas, USA: The Texas State Fair was going on just south of downtown Dallas and the Texas Oklahoma football came scheduled that day at the Texas State Fair in the Cotton Bowl. Also "Occupy Dallas" as derivative of "Occupy Wall Street," was taking place in downtown Dallas, in "Pioneer Plaza." A perfect day and time to go to downtown Dallas to video the "Occupy Dallas" group and offer commentary. I exited the Interstate a few exits early to avoid the Texas State Fair and Texas Oklahoma game traffic. While negotiating the backstreets to downtown Dallas I road across a railroad crossing for DART (Dallas Area Rapid Transit), Dallas subway system. I thought it would be great to video the trains for YouTube so the people in Japan and around the globe could see the limited light-rail in the Dallas County area. I was inspired by two YouTubers from Japan who post outstanding rail videos, "Panaceland" and "89furu", here are their links: - www.youtube.com www.youtube.com I parked my Chevy Astro van in a legal parking lot. Then with video camera and tripods preceded to video the trains passing. I did this from both sides of the tracks, and changing out tripods, from a fluid-head to a regular one. I must have been there for about thirty minutes. I then loaded the equipment back into the van and drove off to downtown Dallas. About two blocks away I see in my rear-view mirror the flashing / revolving blue and red lights of a police car. Huh ...
